I love Telus. Not just because they’re my mobile carrier, but also because they have the coolest, cutest commercials ever. My all-time favourite is a newer one featuring Toronto’s very own Major Maker, and their song “Talk To You”. You may have never heard of Major Maker before, but if you live in Canada then I’m pretty certain that you’ve seen or heard of the cool Maynards commercial featuring the song “Rollercoaster”, in which a girl eats Swedish Berries and multiplies herself. (Or even the Chevy 5-year powertrain warranty commercial, which I’m not particularly fond of at all.) Yep, they’re all by Major Maker.

I’m so into “Talk To You” that the other day, I listened to it for 45 mins straight. That’s right, I took the audio from the 30-second commercial and put it on continuous repeat. It never gets old. I even added them on Facebook (their profile no longer exists for some reason, so here’s the group link!) and asked them when they would release the full track on iTunes; their response was that it’s taking long because they’ve been focusing on their new EP, and also that it’s hard to turn that short clip into a full song due to its repetitiveness, but they promised to “do something sweet with it soon enough” (within a few months). I wait patiently.
