Archive for October, 2007

This was the very first article I ever wrote for the world to read. It appeared in my old, now-defunct site (which is why I’m here at WordPress) called </afterthought>. This was originally posted on August 27, 2005. To date, it’s my favourite post of all-time. Almost three years later, I am still quite [...]

If you live in Canada (and perhaps even abroad), you would’ve heard about Ontario’s provincial election yesterday, October 10th. (And if you are a resident of Ontario, you damn well better have voted! I can’t believe only 52% of us did, we might as well embrace a fascist dictatorship or something.) You would’ve seen widespread [...]

As of today, I officially declare every Wednesday (as this grand site was created on a Wednesday, exactly three weeks ago actually) to host a new Picture Of The Week, or POTW. Whether I can actually find a great pic every week is questionable, but I guarantee you that it’ll be posted on a Wednesday.
So [...]

Mexico Tourism

10Oct07

I found this randomly one day, thought it was pretty funny. Regardless of whether you’re American, Mexican, or from another country, and if you’re American whether you’re Republican or Democrat, this is actually what happens in the United States today. The real issue is the legality and permission for illegal Mexican immigrants to do this. [...]

You gotta give the Chinese some credit, they are incredibly, brutally efficient. You may have seen this elsewhere, but it never gets old. And it’s actually happened, too, verified by Snopes.
CHINESE HOSTAGE NEGOTIATIONS:
“I have three demands you must meet or I kill the boy.”

Negotiators assess the situation from next door…

Head negotiator dispatched.

Negotiations begin.

Negociations conclude.

You have [...]

Lately, I’ve noticed a surge in traffic to Angry Chinese Driver. At first, I thought it was due to my increased participation in StumbleUpon, which, apparently, also increases traffic to your own site (assuming it’s been Stumbled). Maybe so, but my guess is that the credit really belongs somewhere else, peculiarly:

To emphasize, I put red [...]

Submerged in the joy (slash addiction) of StumbleUpon, I came across this funny-but-true angry post in Craigslist by a taxi driver in Denver, Colorado on well, stop light etiquette, a polite euphemism for GET A F—ING MOVE ON IT!
STOP LIGHT ETIQUETTE
Date: 2007-08-24, 12:01PM MDT
I am a taxi driver and conduct myself in a professional manner [...]

Heh, controversial title, eh? That certainly caught your attention; I don’t actually mean that about the title. I figured that before I post more stories of idiot drivers, many of whom are (unfortunately) female and Chinese, I should do a bit of clarification.
First of all, I’m not racist against Chinese people; I myself am Chinese, [...]

I went home for this long weekend, as us Canadians are going to be celebrating Thanksgiving with a Monday off. Since I don’t have a car at university (no need whatsoever), it’s been a while since I sat behind the wheel of my parents’ car. Thus, it was no surprise that I put the petal [...]

Watch and enjoy. Relish in the professional pwnage of this short film.

(If you’ve got seen a film like this on YouTube but even better, give me a shout!)
